Glimpses of bodies moving in the snow.. the gentle rise and fall of a landscape.. it is important not to strive for results. North Hill Relay takes an audience of eight into a remote, frozen, world streaming with broken transmissions and fragments of stories. Watch from a strange box through a delicate film of gauze as nature struggles with humanity's desire for the possibility of communication. Each performance lasts half an hour.

North Hill Relay was presented as a work-in-progress in February and December 2001, and was subsequently received its full premiere in March 2002 at Camden People's Theatre.

A selection of audience responses to the work-in-progress performances:

"...so many stimulants, so much to construct your own narratives from such a fulfilling combination of romantic, enchanting, ironic and comic images and tactile participation."

"...i was intrigued by the atmosphere of confused signalling..."

"...liked being disorientated and in your hands..."

"...felt very safe and relaxed."

"...it was cute and exciting."

"...made me feel i really lived there."

"...i liked the dreamlike sense of location...it was almost creepy at times...it was very poetic."

"North Hill Relay is a genuinely unique piece of work... wireframe create a kind of creepy, ambient theatre that defies easy categorisation, but rewards careful observation." - TOTAL THEATRE

"The allusions wireframe conjure are impressive... love and disillusion crackle down the airwaves in this nicely eccentric, uncompromising show" - TIME OUT
